Forest Products Issues and Industries

Objectives of the Course:
The objectives are to familiarize the student with critical issues facing the forest products industry, manufacturing processes for wood products, and professional career opportunities. Students in the Fall '06 class built speakers using composite panel they made from different waste and renewable materials including alfalfa, plastic, coffee grounds and even bones. They designed the cabinets and installed speakers donated by UI Surplus.
Grading
Attendance 50% Resume and reports 50%
Warning
Reports that are late will be penalized 25% unless arrangements are made with the instructor prior to the due date of the report.
