Department Overview
The Fish and Wildlife Resources program at the University of Idaho is among the nation's finest. More than 230 undergraduate and 57 graduate students currently study under 15 fulltime faculty members. The comprehensive curriculum provides students with a solid foundation in biology and ecology and ensures they will be capable of applying principles-based management practices in a complex and continually changing environment. The department works in close association with a variety of related agencies and organizations. Among these are the US Geological Survey's Idaho Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, which is housed in the department, and the Aquaculture Research Institute.
