New and Prospective Students
Do you love the environment? Do you love being outdoors? Do you love interacting with people?
Conservation social science professionals are the people who create and maintain the earth's special public places and who heighten our experience of those places. In many ways, there is no better time to embark upon such a career path. Employment opportunities are on the rise and becoming more diverse. Protection of wild places and the management of natural resources have become top priorities among citizens, business leaders, and decision-makers both in the U.S. and around the world. In-depth understanding of the ecological, social, political, and management principles as they apply to the protection and sustainable use of natural resources is now a valued asset.
Congratulations on your decision to pursue a degree in Conservation Social Sciences (CSS)!
