 Graduate Record Exam (GRE) Test and the MNR
One of the most common questions that potential applicants ask is: Do I need to take the GRE exam? GRE scores are a required part of the MNR application package. T he MNR accepts unofficial scores. When you take the GRE, be sure to take the general exam, not the subject exam. The GRE is usually given at any college or may be taken on line. See www.gre.com for more information on that.
A second common question is: What are the minimum scores possible and still be admitted into the MNR? The GRE scores are only one part of the application package. There are no set minimum scores, but the MNR committee considers a minimum score in each catagory to be one predictor of a student's ability to succeed in graduate school. Other components of the application package are weighed along with GRE scores, but it is important to have minimum total scores on the Verbal and Quantitative tests of around 1000.
